Spiritual Days

Spiritual Days

Practically every aspect of our spiritual lives runs around one original fact: among all the Gods, there is only one in charge of the civilization of human beings. He offers his own examples to humans - a God with a human face, who dies every year to enter the underground world to occupy his throne as the God of the Dead. In the underground world, helped by forty-two judges, this God, with his authority, confronts our own experience on Earth. His original name is Wsr, but he was introduced to the European public under the names Osiris, Serapis, Apis, etc.

The history of this God dying every year to judge the dead and resuscitating every year for the redemption of the living is, without a doubt, the most popular story of humanity. Wsr is the first God of the second trinity and the Holy Drama of his life practically inspired all the Judeo-Christian doctrines, especially the idea that a God could take a human appearance, the idea of death and resurrection, the idea of the judgment of the dead, and the concept of purgatory and paradise, etc.

According to the cosmogonic presentation of the Holy Drama, the God Wsr died six weeks ago, on the 17th of Athyr. He was killed by Seth (the father of what we commonly call Satan today). On the 24th of Kairika, the body of the God of the Dead was embalmed, and three days later (Kairika 27), a fasting period of ten days begins. During these days of fasting, one does not eat, drink, copulate, or smoke from sunrise to sunset, but in the night, one is free from restrictions until dawn.

For the individual in search of the true face of existence, these ten days of fasting are our ways of accompanying the God in his journey from the world of the living to the world of the dead. The 29th of Kairika is considered the official date of mourning for the God. This is the story hidden behind the diverse sorts of fastings that are talked about in modern religions. Despite the fact that they find the idea of a spiritual fast seducing, they still battle with the difference between a monotheistic concept and the world that was there before them.

It is very important for the individual who is interested in the origins of our thoughts as humans today to understand that, when the Greeks and Romans wanted to introduce new doctrines to the world, they found a world that was already full and without any empty room for philosophical creation. This didn't leave any other choice to these young people, thirsty for adventures and willing to influence the destiny of the world, but to try to "reinvent the wheel". This means trying to re-create the world of their dreams from the same basis as the preexisting elements. This is why it is very important that the whole world return back to a state of complete ignorance. The reality is that the new world does not ever leave any room, simply, for a new imagination. We are not conditioned to wander in space and time without a history solid enough to keep us inside the dimensions of our species. The future cannot be built; it comes as a normal consequence of what we have been in the past. All the rest is just confusion introduced on our path. Amadou Hampate Ba, an African wise man, once said, "If a man trying to run away from his destiny travels incognito, he will find when he gets there that his destiny has preceded him and found a bed for both of them." We cannot reinvent the world. This world progresses normally in its cycles of becoming. Any obstacle to the normal becoming of the world is simply perceived as a distraction that time and nature will destroy.

Kairika 24: The Embalmment of Wsr - This day is celebrated with a night of prayers and lamentation. One is getting ready for a period of fasting that comes in three days.

Kairika 27: Beginning of Fasting - One will not eat or drink from sunrise to sunset for ten days. This is a time for the purification of the body and soul, and a time to remind ourselves that we have not forgotten the land of the dead. During the daylight hours, one does not eat, drink, brush their teeth, swear, have sex, smoke, do drugs, or spiritually dirty themselves.

Tepia 7: End of Fasting - Celebrate with a feast!
