Postnatal Care Part II: Charms for Newborns
For this installment of the postpartum series I have focused on presenting information about caring for a newborn baby, and specifically I have singled out some of the things I observed that a person from the West may never encounter and the modern medical system can’t seem to explain. Using my unique experience, I will discuss the Kemetic tradition of naming, the umbilical cord stump, healing baths, medicinal incisions, and the talisman jewelry adorned on children.
