The becoming of the human race is rapidly declining and the awakening of the human psyche is more and more uncertain. Only a human with a  strong spirit - but also submitted to discipline and humility imposed by existence and the becoming of the existence - will see the gates that will lead them toward us.

The proposed African Union is a concept that can be very misleading because there is no clear understanding behind the intention or the goal of such an undertaking. What would achieving a united Africa really mean for those living there and those of us in the Diaspora? Would it mean that Africa would control all of its natural resources and funnel the monies made from them back into its own communities? Would it mean that Africa would produce its own form of currency? Would it mean that all foreign interest would be regulated and monitored by one governing body that would ensure there will be no more civil wars based on these interests? Hypothetically? Maybe? It’s difficult to say for sure.

In Burkina Faso, the Mossi tribe read energy through cowrie shells. The Gourmatche tribe does readings through the Earth. The people from Poo would read energies through the calabash full of water. Through these readings, they can tell you the future, the present and the past. It teaches us that in life there is no problem without a solution. Only we are the ones that do not know where and how to find the solutions.

On a day that coincided with this year’s Kemetic new year and The Earth Center’s annual pilgrimage (another tradition started by Master Naba in order to reconnect the world with its ancestral home), the Ouagadougou M’TAM School, with the presence of elder brothers and sisters from the United States, graduated two students who answered the call of their ancestors by sacrificing themselves for months to acquire initiation into this knowledge in order to live according to their own traditional values and renew contact with them.

THE EARTH CENTER FAMILY comes together annually to honor our ancestors Master Naba Lamoussa Morodenibig and Khefira Hasati. Master Naba, Maakheru (truth teller), our teacher came to the United States with a mission to heal the minds of everyone here in the colonial diaspora. He brought to us the sacred wisdom of Traditional Spiritual Masters. With this knowledge the children of the colonial diaspora can set out to live a life of quality. This sacred information is under the protection of the ancestors that have preserved these teachings for over 2,500 years.

Each year when February comes back around, the mainstream American culture somehow manages to get away with promoting "black awareness" through learning, remembering, and celebrating "black history," while continuing to promote the same exact "black heroes" and "black history milestones" over and over again.  But as unfortunate as it may sound, the origination of black history month really only has room for the acknowledgment of the history of blacks from the point of enslavement to the present.

Our traditional cultures are rich with knowledge and wisdom.  The continent of Merita (Africa) provides an exceptional example of this heritage due to the ability of its traditional cultures to withstand assimilation into an industrial or consumer society.  Despite worldwide recognition of the importance of these cultures, a hypocritical position is taken by those that herald these cultures yet condemn their practices. 

When brought into this world, we are all in the same position. We are completely susceptible to the circumstances that have been put there before us. As human beings we do not have the capabilities to invent, we can only copy what we see based off of the perception that we have. Whether these circumstances are helpful or damaging can be based on who put them there for us, what their agenda is and how that falls in line with society. Due to this vulnerability, it can be observed that the region of the world you are from and the values that are a part of that society will be all you know and shape how you live your life.

An individual born and raised within this modern society will find that the Kemetic paradigm is far more difficult to grasp than one can imagine. It has become so foreign to us that we sometimes don’t see the purpose behind the value it carries in relation to the values we have been conditioned to hold as true.

In the M'TAM education system, we say that the difficult part is not learning something new. The hardest part is saying goodbye. As initiates, our first priority is the paradigm shift that must take place. For this, we will have to say goodbye to many of the habits, values, mentalities, and even people in our lives. In the colonial world, we have been conditioned in a certain way that enables others to control us. The individual in the modern society has simply been hijacked and is being led to his own destruction without even knowing it.
